Delete your LoadBoot account

How to request deletion

You can request deletion in either of these ways. Both reach the same team and are handled identically.

From the app or website: sign in, open your portal, and go to Settings → Account → Delete my account. Confirm the request when prompted.

By email: write to privacy@loadboot.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. Tell us your company name so we can locate the right record. If you write from a different address we will ask you to verify ownership of the account first — this protects you from someone else deleting your account.

You do not need an active subscription, and there is no charge.

What gets deleted

Once your request is verified we permanently delete:

• Your sign-in credentials and account profile — name, email address, phone number and mailing address
• Documents you uploaded — operating authority, certificates of insurance, W-9, bank verification, identity documents and any other files in your compliance folder
• Your banking and payout details
• Location history recorded while you were sharing your position on an active load
• Driver and equipment records you entered
• Messages between you and LoadBoot dispatch or support
• Notification preferences and any saved searches

What we have to keep, and for how long

Some records cannot be erased on request because United States law requires us to retain them. We keep only what the law requires, and we do not use it for any other purpose.

• Completed load and trip records — rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof of delivery and dispatch records. Federal motor carrier record-keeping rules require these to be retained; we hold them for three years from delivery.
• Financial and tax records — invoices, settlements, commission payments and the tax forms attached to them. Retained for seven years to meet Internal Revenue Service requirements.
• Fraud and safety records — where an account was suspended or removed for fraud, a minimal record is kept so the same party cannot simply re-register. Retained for five years.

Where a record must be kept, we remove or replace the personal details inside it wherever the law allows, so what remains is the transaction rather than the person.

How long it takes

We acknowledge every request within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, so a copy may persist in encrypted backup storage for up to 90 days before it is gone entirely. Nobody can read or restore it from there in the ordinary course.

If you would rather not delete everything

You can close your account without deleting your history, or ask us to remove specific documents while keeping the account open. Tell us which you prefer and we will do that instead. If you simply want to stop hearing from us, every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe.
